Wake on lan ubuntu client

Asked by Jos Coeckelbergs

Hello,

I have an ubuntu 10.04 LTS 32-bit as client with xibo 1.4.1 client (automated install). I'm trying to use the Wake On Lan function but it's not working. Is it not yet supported in the python client or should I be doing any extra settings?

Thanks in advance.

You need to ensure your pc is setup to work with wake on lan. It usually
involves making changes in the bios

Ok thanks, I'll try that. But it's running on a thin-client with ubuntu installed on a small usb-drive, so I hope it works ;-).

Ok apparently this thin client doesn't support Wake On Lan, but we ordered others with HDMI etc. because this was just the testphase. Hopefuly the next thin clients will support wake on lan.

Thanks for the help again Alex.
