Testing Xibo 1.60.0 RC1 - Display issue
I just set up a couple VMs to test the 1.6RC, and I have a couple questions.
Background:
I'm running the CMS on Server 2008, and the Client on Win7 x64.
I had previously used the client machine as a 1.4.2 display, and just copied over the VHDX to create a new machine. Name is the same
I've uninstalled the old 1.4.2 client, and installed the new, and registered it with the server.
It is now showing as licensed in the server, logged in and accessible, and IP & Mac Address are correct.
client options appear to be updated. Not sure about the Unique Key.
Problem 1:
When I try to schedule content using the Schedule Event dialog, this display doesn't show up at all, despite having the check box selected for the display in the main calendar view.
From the Design-Layouts tab, I can select a layout and schedule now for the display (it shows up there.)
The Display eventually gets updated and displays the assigned layout
When I go into the calendar view, I see the layout in the timeline, but if I attempt to edit it, it still doesn't show the display in the list.
Problem 2:
One of the main reason's I'm trying 1.6 is that I kept having issues with PPT with 1.4.2. However, I'm still having those problems. I've gone through and made the recommended registry settings for Office 2010, and taken the other steps in the installation guide for 1.4.2. Last I'd seen as far as the FAQ, was that it was suggested to use a workaround of converting the PPT to a WMV file, and using that. Does that still apply?
