Display registered but not showing in server

Asked by Jerry Volpe

I just registered a new display on our Xibo system (1.4.2), and the Xibo options panel gave the "display active and ready " message, but the display isn't showing up in the server side. Even more interestingly, it picked up a layout from the server that isn't our typical default layout and started showing content. I haven't set up many of these displays yet, but this is a new one for me. Has anyone seen this or have any advice on how to rectify?

Thank you!

You need to ensure that the client identifier in the client settings is
unique.

If your PCs are cloned rather than freshly installed, it's possible for two
machines to generate the same ID.

Alter the identifier and re-register the client

Thanks, Alex. Do I just change anything on the identifier, like add a character at the end or something, to force it to register?

You can make any change, as long as the string ends up unique
