1.6.0-rc1 - Problem assigning transitions

In one region on one of my test layouts I have the same image included twice. On the second instance I cannot set a transition. See the list below of objects in my region:
IMAGE (IMG_3008.jpg) - POSSIBLE TO ASSIGN TRANSITION
WEBPAGE - POSSIBLE TO SET TRANSITION
IMAGE (IMG_3008.jpg) - CANNOT SET TRANSITION
IMAGE (IMG_3009.jpg) - POSSIBLE TO SET TRANSITION
IMAGE (IMG_3009.jpg) - CANNOT SET TRANSITION
