Cannot delete user

I want to delete users but I keep getting this error:
"Cannot delete this user, they have permissions to display groups"

I have made a display group but I removed the permissions for this user and now I even removed the entire display group but I still keep getting this error.

What to do?

do mot know why. I would just change the password to something hard to break and forget about it.

I can always delete this user in the database but It's better to do this in the admin console.
Especially when using this in an office domain.

You can retire a user which will prevent login and hide from the UI

Hi i have the same problem ,, not able to delete a user that is used.
In both version 1.4 an 1.6.

I just retire the user but i can still see it.

How can i delete this user ?
