is there a way to avoid the splash screen until the end of downloading content?

At the time of change of layout, while downloading a large video, I'd like to continue to see the old layout or the new layout without the region containing the new video.

Is there a way to do this?

Don't use the default layout for displaying content. If you schedule your
video then the default layout will play while changes are downloaded. You
can't continue to show an old version of a layout once a new one is
published, but not using the default layout for content will avoid the
splash screen.

Default layout only shows when there's nothing else scheduled. If you
schedule as I suggest the default layout won't be shown
