xp internet browser

Hi,
I'm trying to use an embed from forecast.io, but it doesnt show on xibo.

http://blog.forecast.io/forecast-embeds/

It's down to ie8 on the xp machine, can i install another browser like chrome or firefox and get xibo to use it?

No - Xibo Embeds the MSHTML rendering engine.

If you have a newer version of IE installed you can use the later rendering engine, but it isn't possible to plug in another browser.

is windows 7 now supported with xibo and what version of ie?
Also any guides ?

Windows 7 has been supported for some time now. IE10 works fine.
