Content Flickers after duration

Hi,

When my content duration expires after 10 seconds the content flickers between the previous and next media. I understand this behaviour is perhaps normal?

But is very much undesired - How can I make the content transition more gracefully between media elements ? It would be great if the content just cut over without any flicker, fade etc...

Hi Chuck - unfortunately that flicker is the client removing and replacing the media item on the screen and is unavoidable with the current architecture. Currently the speed at which the client can switch between content is directly related to the hardware capabilities of the device.

Improvements to this, and graceful transitions between items are on the road map.

So in the meantime, are there any valid work arounds? i.e. Should I simply make my own transition inside the content medium - I mean if it's video make my own transitions?

reduce the cpu Load. reduce the # of active area on the layout. I found that if your video is not using a high compression encoder the cpu works less.
