move everything from xibo 1.3.2-server to a new 1.5-server

Hi,

I am using xibo 1.3.2 on my root-server and would like to upgrade to 1.5 so that I know what to do with the database when 1.6 gets availiable.

There are many layouts and many different pics in my 1.3.2-library that I have to get to work with the new version.

Since I am building a completely new server, the 1.3.2 and 1.5 are on different servers.

So far I exported the Xibo-1.3.2-Database using phpmyadmin and imported it to the other server's php database, but now i found out that any existing database must be empty.

Hm 8-/

Is there any possibilty to get all my 1.3.2-things working on a 1.5-system, and how?

You want to copy over your existing DB and library over to your new server - extract the new 1.5 ZIP onto the new server and copy over your settings.php file.

Open the settings.php file on the new server and adjust it to match your new mysql config (this is the critical part and will tell Xibo to upgrade your existing instead of installing into new).
