Xibo Web page display - not loading data

Asked by Steve P

If i add this page to Xibo, it just displays the loading icon, and never gets the data, outside of xibo client its fine.

I Am using 1.5 but tried with the 1.4. something version before!

The Xibo server is on ubuntu/apache/mysql
my client is windows 7 - other things work fine, its just this webpage and perhaps passing the data through somehow??

any ideas?? is it possible to view the xibo presentation through a webbrowser directly? some URL?

thanks for any suggestions.steve

As a side note - very cool web page.

When you look at the page on the client PC are you using Internet Explorer? It is almost certainly due to the web rendering the client uses not supporting the SVG files on that page.

I think by default the web view we use will be using IE 7 - I'll try and find the link for forcing it to use the latest installed.

Dan Garner suggests this article as an answer to your question:
FAQ #2246: “HTML5 in the Windows .net Client”.

Dan, thanks, yes its a nice page, we install solar systems and stuff, so it would be nice to have that in reception, and xibo seemed perfect to display it, along with current visitors etc.

We are getting further, It now loads the page, but instead of the data, i get "connection could not be established"

any ideas???

thanks man.

Dan, your a genius, :)

It did work, i just had another problem, can you believe that since me asking the question and your answer, the URL had changed due to a 3rd part y system upgrade!!!

Its just so typical!

Many thanks for your help ,and to confirm, the HTML fix Dan suggests works, please note that you do have to reboot the machine for the new settings though, or i did anyway.

thanks again dan.
