Hi just wondering if I could script somthing to detect if the player has no internet connection and skip a portion of its schedule?

I believe all xibo software is made to run when internet connection is down. Worst case revert to default layout. If your looking for a work around for live data detection in an Embed WEB script see. https://answers.launchpad.net/xibo/+question/225997

ahh now i see so program the system as though it is just a website cool.
On that note can you send commands to the player to do things like move next etc play next scene bla de bla
