Giving description to items in regions

Is there a blueprint to adding description to all the events in regions? Has I learn and build bigger and better layouts. I find as I go back to edit regions The images and videos have names or description but the tickers, embedded html and other items do not. I understand that images and videos are stored on the server so it's need a name . But it would make it nice if there was a description you could see in the layout without having to open the link to see whats inside.

Hi Mike

You just mouse over the item in the timeline and it shows you a preview.

We did away with giving names and descriptions to non-file based media because it's actually very time consuming and difficult to manage. You put a text item on a layout with say "Title" in it, then have to give it a name - so you call it "Title" or similar - it's much easier to just mouse over the item and see what it is.

With the ticker I can see the link with mouse over. With the embedded web all I see is no information but the icon for the embedded web. It appears you have given it a try and aware of it. Thanks for the reply.
