python client with latest ubuntu/debian version or not

I figure out that python client ver. 1.4.X only support Ubuntu 10.04.
1. If use Ubuntu 12.10 , what will the potential problems occur?
2.if want to use debian , which verion is fit to the ver. 1.4.X python client?
3. If use debian wheezy , what will the potential problems occur?
