Run in offline for more then 48 hours and update when internet connection is resumed

Asked by Eyal Radomsky

I would like to have Ubuntu players that in some cases will lose connection from the server for more then 48 hours because of various reasons.

1. How can I configure the player to continue playing whatever content there is even if the player will be disconnected from the server for more then 48 hours?

2. How do I configure the player to sync the content from the server after more then 48 hours without server connection?
USB update is not an option.

3. Is the a parameter to configure the "48 hours" to any other parameter? Including a "disable" parameter.

Thanks

Eyal

There is an option in the server called required files look ahead which determines the advance period for which content and schedules will be downloaded.

The client shouldn't need any changes at all, it will keep trying to connect during the downtime.
