request failed with http status 405: method not allowed

Asked by kristof

Hi,

I came acros Xibo and decided, Why not testdrive it.

My test setup:
Ubuntu server 10.4 (already used as intranet webserver and digital asset management server)
installed Xibo server, everything went ok, I can login, upload files etc.

for the xibo client install, I get an error when I try to register the client.
installation of the software is ok, I can open the client options en change the info.
the tab Register Display: I see an weird url (perhaps the url of the client install?) when I click register I get as result:
request failed with http status 405: method not allowed

Can anybody help me, or point me in an direction that I need to look into?

Thanks in advance!

I try a shot in the dark:
Please insert your Server URL first and then click save!
After that you will see that the url in register tab will have changed.
now try to register again.

Hi, couldn't get it to work, took another pc (notebook) and installed the client software on that, registration worked like. same on my local machine.

I quess it must be something to do with the os of that pc. Problem solved? (not really, just found a way around)

maybe not the best topic to ask, but can xibo resize content to the given resolution? I have an LED screen, 192x384 pixels, when I want to show an image, I keep getting black bars (top/bottom or on the sides), can xibo do an proportional fit to that resolution?
