how to import media into library without http upload?

Asked by Rudolf

I have a question about adding media to the library. What I would to do is to be able to copy the media into library directory and get Xibo to pick it up. This is to avoid HTTP Upload of large files and/or large number of files.

Unfortunately, Xibo keeps library information in database, so simple copy does not work.
Is there any way to tell Xibo to re-scan its library directory and pick up new files? Or, perhaps, a way to tell xibo that files i want to add are on local disk and get Xibo to copy them into library as a disk copy operation?

Thanks.

Its not a feature we have at the moment - please feel free to add it in as a blueprint for future development.

There is a file upload client coming along shortly... which should make it much easier to upload a bunch of files - we are hoping this will come along with the 1.4 release.

Thanks
