Any suggestions on how to display a spreadsheet?

Asked by Andrew Fox

Hello,

I need to display a simple spreadsheet on my layout and I'm not sure how to do it. The bigger picture is, I need something table based that is easily updated at a very high frequency by people who are not tech savvy. I see there is a way to enter a table through the text field, but it's too risky that someone may accidentally drag the cell or something. I also thought of making a table in Power Point, but it's a little more than what's required. I'm open to ideas of something web based so that they could update it and then I could just embed it into the layout, in fact, I would be most happy with that option.

Thanks in advance for your time and ideas!

Cheers,
~FOX~

Take a look at this http://xibo.org.uk/2012/04/15/introducing-datasets/

You would need to upgrade to 1.3.2

Hi Dan,

Thanks for the info. Would you recommend I upgrade to the current release, or wait for the stable release? I'm sure you are sick of hearing this, but do you know approx. when the stable release is expected to launch?

Thanks again,

~FOX~

Haha, yes... quite sick :-D

Only joking, its good to ask.

We are squeezing in some more things at the moment... my guess is that there will be a 1.3.3, which will need a few minor fixes and then a 1.3.4 which becomes 1.4.0rc1.

My guess is that 1.3.3 would be in the next few weeks
1.3.4/1.4.0rc1 would be a few weeks after that and 1.4.0 a few weeks after that (depending how many people come forward to speed up the testing process).

I would say that if you can, and you don't mind the chance of a few glitches (mostly in the server!) then upgrade to 1.3.2, it would help us, and give you the feature you want.

Can you help with this problem?
