playing video has problem?

I have allocate a schedule to particular client. while that schedule starts to play in our client side, the audio and video has mismatched. i.e. audio was started to play before the video has start. but the same video i was tried to play in VLC media player. it has perfectly played. Do you know , why this type of problems are occurred.

The client doesn't use VLC Player. It uses Windows Media Player.

You need to test the video in Windows Media Player on that client machine.

It's quite common for encoding problems to unsync the sound and video. I suspect you'll find the video is faulty.

Xibo doesn't separate the sound and video in any way - it just plays back what is there.

Actually i am using python client. i have separately installed the VLC player in my Ubuntu 10.04 machine. I was allocated a schedule to my machine . But , while playing scheduled video, the video and audio was mismatched. So i just copy that scheduled video and trying to play separately in VLC player. But while running the same content in vlc player, the audio and video could not mismatched.

The Python client doesn't use VLC either. It uses FFMPEG. You would be better testing with ffplay - however again, the client doesn't separate or pad the audio so it will be the encoding of the source file that is the problem.
