An user change the content of a text region

Asked by Giorgio Rizzetto

Hi to all, i've installed Xibo 1.3.2 (congratulations for the excellent program)
I've created a template which contains 1 video region, 1 rss region and 1 text region.
How can I make that an external user can edit the contents of that text?
The example used is that of a sport community or a school that can insert/change some notices or simple advicet in that page without necessarily having to send them to me as an administrator.

Thank You for the help

Ciao, Giorgio

You create a new user, then grant that user permission to view your layout, and permissions to edit the text media that you've put in the layout.

They'll then only be able to edit that one media item on the layout and nothing else.

Thank You Alex for your answer. Strange situation happen ... the user "see" the layout but can't edit the text created by the admin ... However, user can insert a new timeline with any type of content (video, image ... text etc.) that is append to the original one. I think i need few more attempts for resolve, probably i've missed something (for sure :D :D)

Grazie, Ciao

You've missed a permission setting somewhere.
