How do I change the splash screen and welcome page

How do I change the splash screen and welcome page( xibo news rolling) on the player side?.
Can i build the .NET from source?. I was having some library issues on Visual studio 2010.

The "welcome screen" is just the default layout on that client - you can change this to whatever you want from the server interface. Go to displays and select a new default layout.

The splash screen is built into the client binary - to change that you will have to compile it yourself. If you always have a valid default layout, the splash screen will only show briefly on start up.

Can I get recompile the client, with just VS 2010 that can compile .NET code or do I need any third party libraries?.

There are no third party libraries, everything is included in the branch
