Documentation Iffy?

Asked by Barry Wood

Hi,
Just going through the documentation to create a project in Xibo. Are there any updates to this documentation as it seems to be written for a different version of the Xibo I'm using?

I don't want to be critical as it's a new application to me and I'm sure it will take time to get familiar with it, but I've created a Layout and want to schedule it to run. In the Scheduling section of the Manual there are headings for 'The Calendar' and 'Broadcasting' but no detail? In 'Schedule Now' it says from the Layouts screen choose 'Schedule Now' but there isn't a button on that screen. Also no text under 'Scheduling Layouts' or 'Editing Schedules'. Looks like a WIP, but it's hampering me setting up a demo project.

If I go into the 'Schedule' screen I have a calendar that's blank until I move the month forward then back, and a message that says 'No Display Groups' - what goes here?

The Video that it shows really needs to be 'pausable' so that i can follow it by doing the same, maybe that will show how to do things.

We are working on the documentation as a high priority item for 1.4 - the latest we have is here: http://wiki.xibo.org.uk/wiki/Manual:TOC

In the schedule screen Xibo will show you any registered displays (Xibo clients, either Python ones, or Windows ones), you can scheduled against these. Alternatively you can create a "Display Group" from the Management menu and schedule against a group of displays at once.

If you dont have any displays registered, or display groups... then there is nothing to schedule against yet.

Can you help with this problem?
