Added support for 11.10

Asked by salvatorelionetti

Hi,

This is stated in "Version 1.3.3 - 8/16/2011 Changelog". What does it mean? I'll install the client if run under Ubuntu 11.10?

Thanks for your attention

I think you're talking about the Python client installer script?

All that means is the installer correctly detects 11.10 in that version and tells you that the client isn't supported on that version.

You need to be running 10.04 as per the install guide document.

Ok, thanks

I thank you if you please substitute the word 'Supported' with the word 'Detected'.

Just out of curiosity, are there any plans to support later versions of Ubuntu? For example when 12.04 LTS is released?

Yes, my plan is to support the LTS releases assuming the prerequitsites will build.

1.2 series will not be supported beyond 10.04 because Awesomium doesn't build - at least I can't get it to. If somebody can and wants to take on maintaining that for us then great.

1.3/1.4 series will be supported on 12.04
