Rss ticker not appear

I'm using xibo 1.3.1 server and client for win32-x86, with xampp 1.7.3 for win. The server and client box running xp sp3.

Created new layout with black background (16:9 HD WideScreen), none background image , 3 regions: 1 rss ticker, 1 image and 1 text. Regions are not over lap others. Rss text color is red.
Set from rss ticker are:
Link: http://xibo.org.uk/feed
direction: down
scroll speed: 10
number of items: null
copyright: null
duration: 360
update interval: 0
from the: start of the feed
duration is per item: not set
in text edit area: [Title] - [Description]

When I run the client player text and image appear, but rss not. The rss region is blank! I wait a minute and nothing.

I tried change background color, rss text color, add a new rss ticker before and after, add contributed background, use others clients box with vista/w7 and continued to see nothing. Add a webpage in region timeline after ticker and webpage appear right past the time.

The client box has access to the internet. There is no proxy in my network and I can see information from rss through the client browser.

All ideas are welcome!

Can you check in your local library on the client to see if there has been an XML file created containing the contents of the xibo RSS feed?

Hello Dan Garner,

I ran client and waited 10 minutes, then looked at client local library (c:\documents and settings\administrator\My Documents\Xibo Library) and have not seem any XML file. I can see only JPG and XLF files.

This most likely means that the client cannot access the feeds for some reason, can you enable auditing on the display in the management interface, run through the report fault wizard on the server and leave your client running for an hour to see what logs we get?

Hello,

I have the same problem (xibo 1.3.1)

I have a fault detected:

number of item = empty --> the client crashes
number of item = 0 --> the rss region remains empty
number of item > 0 (e.g. 500) --> everything is ok

I believe that's been fixed already in the repos. The fix will be in the next DP release (if it isn't already in 1.3.2, I'm not certain)

The fix is in 1.3.2 - if empty or 0 Xibo will show the entire feed (all items)

euhm, i have the problem now. i tried all what you said above, but it did not work for me. i still cant show my RSS Feed. first it worked, but after 2 weeks the ticker doesn't want to show anymore. can someone please help me?
