Asked by David Binz

The error I put in happens after the program has been running a while. I happens in both window xp and 7. I have to close out of the xibo software and relaunch it and it works fine again for a while then it happens again. I have this running on 5 computers and all of them had the same error.

David,

I have the same problem on one of my clients, and older XP box. I believe this is related to a memory leak problem on Windows that is a byproduct from .NET. Just lookup Memory Leak in the answers to get more info.

All of my windows clients have hit this error at one point or another. They all occur at different time intervals though. I have one box that runs for about 12 hours before throwing an error, and another that keeps running for a few days before the error occurs.

Hasn't been a big problem operationally yet, restarting the XIBO process is the best option I've found so far. Some folks go so far as restarting the Windows box on a schedule, maybe that is an option for you as well.

How can I restart the windows box on a schedule. Is that easy to do?

P.S. Thanks for getting to my error as quickly as you did!!
