How to play local media stream?

I have a local media stream (local tv signal) at each signage that I would like to play in a segment of my Layout. Is there a way in Xibo Layout to specify that a local stream to that signage sould be picked up and played? Using a local tv tunner card into the Media Player at each Digital Sign, I can pick up the tv signal. Would like to set up a layout such that the loal TV stream from each Media Player can be played. is this possible to do in Xibo?

This question has been asked several times before. There are no direct methods to do this at the moment, but there are several workarounds documented in the archived questions on this site.
