Is portrait mode only supported in Python Client?

Asked by blammo

Is the Windows client able to be configured to run in portrait mode. Either via the display card and/or via the client settings?

I did run a search with only a couple of Python questions/answers showing up.

did some experiments using the client controls for sizing of the display. Looks about as expected.

Doing some more experimenting on this at the moment.

All,

Some more info to ponder. Is the portrait mode operation more Hardware specific or XIBO client, or is it a function of both?

I don't have a Linux server/client install in place yet (BTW, can I use a Linux Python client against the Windows server?) to try out the options for the rotation of display, etc that I've seen for answers in my searches.

There are no special settings in the windows client to run in portrait mode - simply put your screen in portrait mode (and rotate in windows).

And yes you can use a python client against a windows server, or the other way around, or any combination of the two.
