You possibly have the client setup to require a connection to XMDS
before playing content - it's a security feature.

Check your configuration for requireXmds. It should be set to false if
you want it to play content on startup before connecting to the Xibo
server.

sir good day,
when requirexmds=false and disconnect my Internet connection then my python client play only the default layout. here is my config.
1. I have 2 layouts each total of 120 second
2. xmdsupdateinterval=120
3. requirexmds=false
4. Interleave default is off

is there any configuration that we missed?

PS. and sometimes we need to press "i" then "r" connecting from my server to look new updates.

thanks and more power.

If you can provide a log level 10 trace of the client doing this then I'd be interested. However this configuration is well tested so I expect it to be a local configuration issue...

And in future please try and keep one question in each thread - it makes it very hard for people to find answers to common questions if there are multiple questions in each thread...

Can you help with this problem?
