Powerpoint shows black borders

Asked by Joerg Schuster

Hi,

I have the problem, that Videos run in fullscreen, but Powerpoint schows black border
only left and right. I tried also the fixes from your .net Wiki.

I found the posting:

"133118 Powerpoint showing black boarder occassionally"

but there is no solution for my troubles.

My Layouts are 16:10 Widescreen Monitor. When I tried the 16:9 HD Widescreen, than I have borders left, right and at the top.

I think that the problem is my Sun Monitor with a resolution from 1920x1200!(?)
Is there any way to get this resolution in my Xibo working?

Client 1.2.0 Debug
Powerpoint 2007

sincerely, Joerg

You need to draw the region the PowerPoint is in with the correct aspect
ratio for your presentation. PowerPoint will pad the region with black
otherwise and we have no control over that.

Hi Alex,

did you mean the "Manual Region Positioning"?

I have- when i click "fullscreen @the pps", the ratio width: 800 / height: 450.
I changed it to 1280x1024 but the .pps did not change the size on the screen.

No. I mean the region you've drawn needs to be the correct aspect ratio for
your presentation. So if you've not changed the default in PowerPoint, you
need to draw the region so its a 4:3 aspect ratio so the slide exactly fits
the box. The aspect ratio of the layout is irrelevant.
