Options with RSS

Asked by Jaap Bos

Is it possible to set how many articles are displayed per rss feed? I want only the last five to be displayed. Also, is it possible to show only the date without the time? the last question: is it true that the duration time determines how long one single article is displayed?

No - but you can use Yahoo! pipes to truncate the feed before it gets to
Xibo.

With the Python client - yes (see the configuration directives in
defaults.cfg), I don't think so with the Windows client.

No - duration is the total time the feed is shown for, so if you have 5
items then each item will be shown for duration/5 seconds.

Thanks for the fast reply!
It is a pity that no more options are available for RSS, yahoo pipes is no option since the feeds come from a joomla instance in the local network.

As with everything it's a case of finding time to do it - and at the
moment there are other priorities.

If you wanted to pay a developer to stop what they're working on and do
this then we could cost that for you.

Incidently, I'm pretty sure the Joomla feed generator we're using at
work has an option to limit the number of items in it...
