Some problems with region (flash and images)

Asked by Bartek

Hello,

I've small problem with my test layout, i've made a such timebar on my layout (one region)

A p B p C p

where A B C - some flash controls
p - same picture from library

When clicking on any of p-s Edit link, there is always window to edit first one parameters. lkid param is different in url, rest of link constant.

Some bug?

Sounds similar to a bug that was fixed in 1.0.6

What version are you running?

OK I setup the same arrangement (although with videos and images) and I get the same behaviour, but I notice that when I mouseover the edit links the LKID values change as I would expect them to.

I'll let Dan take a look at it and see how he wants to proceed.

It's not ideal but as a workaround you can drag the image to the first position in the timeline, edit it and then drag it back and then the edit seems to work as you would expect.

Dan - The layout I've created is just called "test" on 1.0.6 unittest server.

That is an interesting hole in the logic. As you have seen it will always resolve to the first item of the same media on the region (if it was a different region then it would work OK).

This is basically because the media modules do not use the lkid. Another interesting point is that editing the media duration will actually edit the duration on the library media item (also the name).

I will create a bug for this and open a discussion for how to deal with it.

Can you help with this problem?
