Adding new resolution

Asked by Bartek

Hello

I want to add new resolution 1366x768 to be able to edit regions manually in native resolution instead of rescaling all values (I know that it would be a big workspace in designer). But Add new resolution rescale it to 850x450. Any important reasons why?

I guess that I need to modify values in mysql?

You would need to modify MySQL directly.

In my experience it breaks text scaling when the client runs the layout.

Why do you need to design at native resolution? Nobody we've spoken to has come up with a good reason yet (other than because I want to).

In short, if you want to then do it, but we can't support it.

Our desinger don't like to recalc all dimensions when creating banners to put on screen below videos.
Lets say that creating 1366x100 banner (to keep native screen resolution), so then it's easy to substract 768-100 = 1366x668 for video region etc.
What do You mean that it's break a text scaling? :)

I mean that text items scale differently so text will appear smaller than
it would if you used the designer as intended.

Your designer can work in Photoshop or whatever at native resolution, then
drop the image in and scale the box to fit the picture (its a lot easier
now the dimensions and position are shown).
