How do I change the interval between items for a ticker with direction set to 'single'?

Asked by max

Is it possible to set the interval between items appearing in a ticker from an RSS feed with the direction set to 'single'? I've tried changing different values but to no avail.

In single mode the client divides the duration of the media item by the number of items in the feed. If it's less than 2 seconds it'll show them at 2 seconds per item otherwise it'll show them at that interval.

If you need to fix the duration, you'll need to limit the number of items in the feed to give the desired result. You could use Yahoo pipes to select only the first few items in a feed etc.

Perhaps it should use the scroll speed value for this? As it would be very useful to be able to set the interval. Can I make a feature request? :-)

I've written an interface which an RSS feed is generated from. The number of items in the feed will be constantly changing, and different faculties (we're an educational institution) will need certain items appearing in the RSS feed at specific dates - so I can't really limit the number of items appearing in the feed.

Sure you can log a change request.

Have a look through the Blueprints section and check that nothing similar exists already. If there isn't then feel free to add it.
