XiboClient Offline

Asked by Salvatore Baglieri (digital2b.com)

Hello, i'm trying Xibo and it's really great.

I've a network of serveral PCs but some of them haven't a DSL connection to Internet.

Is there a way to let XiboClient work offline? What happens if one of the clients lost connection for 1 hour?
Is there a way to update XiboClient playlist offline (copy files using an USB pen..)?

Thanks in advance,
Salvatore Baglieri

Xibo will work off-line provided that you can connect it at least once.

You could "pre-load" the library of a client using a USB pen, but you would have to make sure that the client you copied from had the same media as the one you were copying to. Even with this approach the client must connect once to get its schedule.

Perhaps you could put the non-network PC's on-line for the first run of Xibo, wait for it to download all its content and start playing and then disconnect the client from the network.

Can you help with this problem?
