Ridge Logic Scene Studio

Asked by Sea Dog

I'm about to have a discussion with a Ridge Logic sales rep. I've been evaluating Ridge Logic Scene Studio but that app is really limited in comparison to Xibo.

Does anyone have any comprehensive comparison documents for Xibo and other authoring suites such as Scene Studio?

Xibo is really a winner as far as I can tell.

Please give us a call at RidgeLogic...when it comes to digital signage one app doesn't fit every end user need. I recommend learning about a few apps and then deciding which is best for your cusotmers. You may need to offer a number of them. Jack Boyczuk, president 716-200-6527

I understand that most software solutions do not fit every need that is out there, however, this response does not answer my specific question. Let me restate my question:

Does anyone have any comprehensive comparison documents for Xibo and other authoring suites such as Scene Studio?

All I want to do is a side by side features/functions comparison. I imagine I may have to do that myself.

Hi

We 'Xibo' don't have any documentation like that. I don't personally have access to any other signage system to create a side-by-side comparison.

Actually I'd also add that any 3rd party prepared document like that is likely to be skewed to fit that companies point of view.

For example Linux vs Windows 7 from Microsoft: http://quaoar.ww7.be/ms_fud_of_the_year/569458-microsoft-attack-linux-retail-level-probably.html

I'd personally take issue with 99% of those slides. ie they're only useful to the person that created them to prove a particular point.

Alex,

I agree that any vendor that would compile a document like this would tend to skew it in their favor. I was just hoping that a member of the community, not tied to a vendor, might have written something. I suppose not but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Bob, if you do a comparison yourself it would be a great thing to contribute
back (if you don't mind doing so).

I agree and I can do that for whatever apps I evaluate.
