Is it possible to link sub-account to a master?

Asked by LAHLOU Benoit

I want to define a master account, which I link virtuals sub-account (ex: I had an account were I witch reserve some money for others things than my usually expanses, letting this money for specials expanses, and manage them individually). I witch parameter the money in-comming on the master account, and parameter reserves amount pre-defined on the corresponding sub-account, letting the rest on the other sub-account.
Is it possible? Or in implementation for the futur?

It's funny you ask, I actually started implementing this in a branch but decided it was easier conceptually and accounting-wise to actually open a separate savings account, so I didn't finish the code.

So my suggestion would be to either:
1) Open a separate bank account, as it may actually make your life easier. As a customer of some banks like ING, you can create additional accounts in a few clicks.
2) Create two accounts, such as "Special Savings" and enter all transactions to it as transfers from Accounts Payable, or if you don't have an accounts payable, you could create a specific "Special Savings Payable". When you spend it, you do the same thing, putting negative amounts in Special Savings as a transfer from the payable account.

If you still think sub-accounts would be better for your case, please click the button to convert this to a bug report and I'll happily prioritize it!

Can you help with this problem?
