How can I see current account balance?

Asked by Josh Holland

As far as I can tell, in neither wxBanker 0.7 nor trunk have a big easy-to-find place to see the current bank balance for either a single account or all accounts together. While it is possible to hunt through all the transactions and find today's date, it would be nice to have a place to spot at a glance how much money is available now.

Hi Josh! Unless I'm very confused about what you want, you should just be able to look at the left side, and see the balance for each account listed next to it, and the last item should be the grand total. See the top left of "https://wiki.ubuntu.com/wxBanker?action=AttachFile&do=get&target=accounts.png" and specifically the "All accounts" item at the bottom of the list. Is that what you are looking for?

Not quite. Because I have a few transactions entered for the future, what I see in that column isn't what's in there now, it's what will be there once all the transactions have gone through.

Yes, that's a great point indeed! I've create a bug report for that and linked it, let's continue discussion there and please add any thoughts you have about the best way to represent the total vs current balance, UI-wise.

Can you help with this problem?
