Toshiba Install Failure HUGE PROBLEM MANY USERS

Asked by 34Dell17

I tried to install Ubuntu 9.10on my laptop (Toshiba Sat. A215 series) which runs Windows 7. When installing, the installer did not download anything (probably because I already had the iso file). After the installer gave a complete message asking for a restart, the computer now boots into Ubuntu, but then instantly shuts off. Other users have this issue to so it is a MAJOR PROBLEM.

When I tried to install Ubuntu through WUBI, I encountered a Major Issue. The install went fine (it did not download anything because I already had the ISO file). When I restarted, however, my laptop (Toshiba Sat. A215 on Win. 7) booted to Ubuntu then instantly shut down.
