Can't write to external Drives (NEW ISSIUE)

Asked by bobdotexe

I am using a 32-bit Wubi installation of Xubuntu 9.10, and When I mount a drive I can
copy all the files I want to my Flash drive (fat32 2GB 997MB free)
but If I remove the drive and insert it in any computer the files are gone!
Later I copied some more files, but this time I UNmounted, and the files stayed;

I looked through launchpad for similar questions, and found out about Group permissions, and mounting with sudo;
and even how to mount NTFS;
but I want to know if theres a setting or something to change
so I can just plug in my drive, copy files and hotswap to another PC, without special mounting and unmounting commands.

To safly remove a drive and make sure that all write tasks are done, you have to unmount the drive first. Just right click the drive and select unmount befor you remove the drive from your computer.

Also this should nto be under wubi, as it is not related to wubi but linux in general.

Can you help with this problem?
