install 64bit ubuntu in a 32bit XP

Asked by sevag krikorian

Haven't tried yet. Download times are restrictive so I would like to know if it's possible to install an AMD64 bit Ubuntu on a 32bit XP Windows. I have an AMD64 processor on the computer.

Currently, no, because there are no 64-bit Lupin initrd builds, but they will be added in the future once we have access to 64-bit machines for the building process.

I run Ubuntu 64-bit, so I will try to make a 64-bit build.

Any updates?
I'd love to use a 64 bit system through Wubi. That was my main reason for trying Wubi; see if I liked Ubunta x64 and available apps, then I'd do a full install. The 64 bit is what would win me over from Windows.
