How are translations handled after the 8.04 release?

Asked by David Planella

Will the translations available from Launchpad will be imported into Wubi even after the Ubuntu 8.04 LTS release is out?

I'm simply asking in order to know whether languages which not had a complete translation before the Hardy deadline -but were completed afterwards- will have a chance to get included in Wubi during the Hardy cycle.

And if so, what's the translation update policy? Will it be similar to the language-packs in Ubuntu, for which there's an update every two weeks?

Thanks.

I would think so, also because there will probably be a couple of extra strings that need to be translated, so I will have to import the translations again. But you should double check that asking on the ubuntu-translators mailing list (or irc channel).

Can you help with this problem?
