How safe/easy is Wubi?

Asked by Andreas88

Hi,

I have some quick questions about Wubi.

/1a How easy is it too uninstall Wubi/Ubuntu?

/1b Will it remove the second OS (Ubuntu) completely?

/1c And what will happen to the partition that Wubi made after I'm finished with Ubuntu?
(I did have some huge problems with the partition when i used the CD)

/2 Too say it as it is the Wubi look a little scary, because the only information it need is where it need too be installed. (and username/password off course)

I know it is still in beta, and therefore i will be expecting some bugs.

Regards,
Andreas

1a) Should be very easy (unless you run into problems :P). Wubi aim is to be the easiest OS installer ever...

1b) It will not touch any other OS already on the system, it will only append a boot menu item to the windows bootloader.

1c) Wubi does not make any partition, it creates a directory with files inside of a windows partition.

2) That is all the information we need...
