Take out Windows 10

Asked by José

I have Windows 10 in my laptop. I tried to convert definitely Wubi to Ubuntu 14.4. I was not able. How can I solve this problem after having downloaded the Iso image?
Thanks in advance.

Which conversion did you try ? A Wubi migration ? (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MigrateWubi) ? An Windows upgrade to Windows 10 ? A conversion from BIOS mode to UEFI mode ? An upgrade to 14.04 ? ......

In my laptop I study and work with Windows 10, upgraded from 8.1. I'm tired about Windows and I would like to convert everything to Ubuntu.
How can I do it?
Thanks in advance.

As I understand, you want to convert all your Windows applications to Ubuntu and you do not want to convert a Wubi install (Ubuntu inside of a Windows partition) to a standard Ubuntu install (Ubuntu with independent partitions). So your question should not depend on Wubi.

It mainly depends on your used hardware and your used Windows programs.

If there are general issues to install Ubuntu, see Installation (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation). But of course, Ubuntu and Windows are always different. If you miss some Windows programs in Ubuntu, you can try Wine (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wine)
