Is the NTFS partition healthy? Your NTFS data integrity directly affects Wubi installs. Wubi is not a long term solution, its a try-before-you-buy method of installing Ubuntu.

HI want to run an ETL tool on a Linux environment that's why I want Ubuntu.

How can i buy or is the Ubuntu software free to download?? Where can I find it?
some people say you will need to partition the drive before installing Linux platform upon the native WIN XP.
However I don't know how to partition this as well???

Can you please help me...I am very new to this.

Ubuntu is free, its free to download, use, modify and even sell as you wish.

You can resize your NTFS and install to the free space. This is part of the install CD procedure.

Can you help with this problem?
