Wubi Uninstall Problems

Asked by Kerry-Mae Doogan

I previously installed Ubuntu using Wubi. My computer crashed and wouldn't boot up either Windows 7 or Ubuntu operating systems. So I had to do a full system restore which deleted the Wubi files. Every time I start my computer though it still shows the option of loading Ubuntu even though the files are no longer there. Is there a way to fix this?

Erm when I ran 'cmd.exe' and entered 'bcdedit' it gave me this message 'The boot configuration data store could not be opened. Access denied.'

What does that mean? How do I fix it?

cmd.exe runs the command prompt in Windows.

I know that but it didn't work when I was logged into my account, even though I am the administrator. However I restarted the computer in command prompt and it worked fine. Either way its fixed now. Thanks.
