Out of space on Windows on a pc with a Ubuntu Wubi installed

Asked by lara

I have installed Ubuntu Desktop 12.04 LTS(windoows installer) in my 20 GB drive in which I allocated 15GB for Ubuntu. As for Ubuntu it is ok as It shows Memory 3.6GiB and Available Disk Space 7.7GiB. But from windows the disk space is running out.

What is the exact reason for this? How can I fix it?

This is because a Wubi installed Ubuntu preallocate a big file 15giga file and using this file it emulate a real isolated partition
So you have no space for windows but you have space for Ubuntu... (the space is not real is into the Ubuntu Wubi installed big file)

I'm not using Ubuntu installed with Wubi mode but reading other answer seems you can resize the Ubuntu virtual Disk file:

Is there any way to fix or I have to re installed it or I need to expand the disk space?
