Did you run the wubi file on its own or did you create a removable media (CD or USB storage etc) and use that?

hi,
because its iso file, i use daemon tools lite to open and use the wubi file, and selected install in windows, i did tried to install demo and full installation and do the install bootloader, but problem was the bootloader has a problem installing well, so i uninstall.

also, i saw error file when i choose ubuntu to start, it says "prefix" error.

thanks.

Did you MD5 test the ISO you downloaded?

maybe its the issue is because of my laptop or windows? because once it boots in ubuntu and inside the OS, after install dialog, when it reach like 60-70% copying it stuck up.

1. Run chkdsk
2. Defragment
3. If it hangs, try dropping to a terminal Ctrl+Alt+F1 and check your memory:
free -m

That will report how much you have and how much is in use. You could also check your log:
tail /var/log/syslog
or
tail /var/log/dmesg

and see if there is some error message that stands out.

I can't think of anything else unless there is some hardware incompatibility. That's a pretty low spec for running 11.10, maybe try Xubuntu/Lubuntu (but this won't likely help the freezing as the same installer (ubiquity) is used for all Wubi installs.)

Can you help with this problem?
