Cannot access other files on the drive where ubuntu is installed

Asked by Praveen Kandallu

Ubuntu! I do not know why I hav not been using this OS for long ... missed it!!! Just love it on my laptop. I have installed Ubuntu 11.10 on my lenovo. I have 2 drives. One is C and other is D. On C: XP is installed. After installing ubuntu, which I have done so on D: I am able to access C: as listed as 'SYSTEM'. Now I am wondering how to access rest of the remaining D: ??? Please help. Also when installing UBUNTU using WUBI it allowed me max of 30GB even though my drive had 100G. Now how do I increase?

You can find it mounted on /host. To get there you can enter: Alt F2, then : /host (Ctrl+D) to bookmark.
Or click on the home/house/folder icon at the top left of the unity bar, then look under File System, /host
