move wubi installation related files to another drive

Asked by Monico Dolor

Hi,

Just a question, I installed Ubuntu using ISO image in my computer (option during Installation), now that I have done all updates and installed some apps that I want, I am now thinking of moving my system into a new created partition in my disk. Is there an easy way of migrating my current ISO based installation (root.disk) to a real disk partition?

I do not want to do a new installation as I have also modified a lot on the system that I may miss out when I do a new installation.

regards.

Mon

You can use dd or rsync (or grsync for a GUI) in live CD to copy the data from partition to partition. You can also use partimage

Im not sure if my question was clear. I thank the reply but I guess this is from partition to partition, what I have is an installation in a File image that you can use as an option when setting up using wubi.exe. I think live CD will not see this as a partition, so any other suggestions?
