Defective installation

Asked by Ivanel Petrenko

I've installed Ubuntu Linux 11.4 on a Windows 7 PC. After the installation my USB ports stopped working and that caused the mouse not to respond. I've tried to remove the Linux operating system following the instructions, but there is no Ubuntu file under Control Panel/Programs/Uninstall a program/Ubuntu, as showed in the picture of the instructions here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WubiGuide.

Windows 7 also can't recognize that I have USB ports and I cant use my mouse there either. Also the Windows operating system started working very slow after the installation of Ubuntu.

I've tried to install the Ubuntu OS again hoping that it will repair the existing installation, but another copy of the OS appeared. Now while booting on the dual-boot screen, there are 3 OS's: Windows | Ubuntu | Ubuntu, and non of them is working properly.

How can I remove the Ubuntu Linux 11.4 and remove the dual-boot screen, so my Windows OS starts automatically?

"Windows 7 also can't recognize that I have USB ports and I cant use my mouse there either." It's probably unrelated to Ubuntu installation.

This link describes uninstalling - if there's no Ubuntu entry in the control panel, scroll down and there are some manual uninstall instructions. I agree that the USB problem is not related to Ubuntu.
