Cannot install on windows 7

Asked by Jacob Bendixen

I am trying to install Ubuntu alongside windows 7. I have downloaded the file several times and rebooted as well and whenever I try to launch the wubi.exe installer to install and then nothing is opened. Is there another way to open this or should I try downloading from a different location?

If you MD5 test the ISO and burn it to CD. Then use Windows 7 to resize it's own partition. You can then boot to the CD and instal to the free space.

Are you trying to install Ubuntu in its own partition disk. Wubi is used to install a virtual disk inside Windows partition disk ?

If you have python installed on your computer you need to delete the environment variable for python path before running wubi.exe

You might just be getting a slight error on window's part. Can you open other .exe files or is it just that one?

Can you help with this problem?
